They can take care of any patient in the family in an integral way regardless of their age. Its activity focuses on health prevention. It provides a general, integral and continuous attention.
General practitioners have extensive knowledge in all fields of medicine. Their daily work includes a set of activities through which the health status and the biological, psychological, social and cultural risk factors of the patient are evaluated in order to detect early ailments or health situations that may alter their development and health. Depending on the level of complexity affecting the patient’s quality of life, it will be referred to specialists.

We offer the general medicine service in all our Centros de Salud Integral from Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. and in Extended Hours at the Centros de Salud Integral in Barranquitas, Comerío, Corozal, Naranjito, Orocovis and Toa Alta II from Monday to Friday from 4:30 p.m. at 9:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. at 6:00 p.m. The Extended Hours at the Centro de Salud Integral in Bayamón are from Monday to Friday from 4:30 p.m. at 7:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. at 4:30 p.m
