CT scan, or computed tomography, is a procedure in which X-rays are taken from different angles of the body. Its technology generates images that can provide the physician with more detailed information compared to conventional X-rays.
CT scans are performed to:
- Diagnose muscle and bone disorders
- Determine the location of a tumor, infection, or blood clot
- Monitor the effectiveness of certain treatments
- Detect certain diseases and conditions (tumors, cancer, among others)
- Among other uses
At Salud Integral en la Montaña, we perform general CT scan studies by anatomical area, with or without contrast, by appointment.
CT scan services are offered at the Health Center in Naranjito on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
