Amanece Program

The Amanece Program at Salud Integral en la Montaña is designed for patients experiencing problematic substance use and problematic behaviors. Problematic substance use is defined as a condition in which an individual experiences an inability to control the use of legal or illegal substances, the need to consume more to achieve the same effect, and withdrawal symptoms, resulting in significant deterioration of their physical and mental health.

The program offers specialized treatment based on a biopsychosocial model that seeks to address all the needs associated with problematic substance use and guide the patient toward recovery. It works with individuals, their families, and their friends as part of a comprehensive recovery process. The program does not focus solely on abstinence, which allows for increased access to care and supports recovery.

What you should know

The Amanece Program provides Medication-Assisted Treatment with Buprenorphine, which helps reduce or eliminate withdrawal symptoms caused by opioids (heroin, fentanyl, oxycodone, among others). The use of this medication has demonstrated a reduction in the incidence, urgency of opioid use, and deaths caused by overdose. Likewise, Buprenorphine reduces or eliminates substance use.
